HAY WINTER FOOD FESTIVAL


Everyone has heard of the Hay on Wye Book Festival attracting literary giants to talk about their publications, but what about the Hay Food Festival! Welsh product lovers are set to flock to Hay on Wye for their Food, Arts and Crafts Festival on 29 November.

 
Set with in a stone throw of the Hay Castle this impressive venue will once again be a Food paradise when the Book capital of the World holds its annual Winter Food Festival. The fun starts at 10am with the Official opening and many of the companies taking part are True Taste Wales Food and Drink Award winners, and everything from cakes, breads and liqueurs to chocolate cheese and meat will be available to try and buy. The festival will feature stalls serving tempting dishes and there will be a producers Fayre featuring over 35 food and drink companies. With a demonstration area where children can learn more about cooking with local ingredients. There is also the Arts and Crafts Fayre featuring over 30 local companies selling everything from love spoons to paintings and locally made jewellery to locally made furniture. There will be entertainment from local Schools, Town Bands, Male Voice Choirs and all accompanied by Face Painters and Street Entertainers.


Food Exhibitors will include, Black Mountains Smokery Ltd, Breconshire Brewery, Elan Valley Quality Meat, Gooch Organic Foods, The Nut Hut, Whynothot chutneys and sauces and the Welsh Whisky Company.


Arts & Crafts Exhibitors will include: wood turners, photographers, jewellers, potters, painters, weavers and glass blowers.
