Fresh Rootz - Veggie Street Food
I have recently heard about Fresh Rootz, so I thought I would share their success story with readers.
The Leamington based company in Warwickshire caters for weddings and parties and you will find them at markets, street food fayres or other festivals around the UK. They only use biodegradable materials and, like my wife's food market stall, have a a 5-star rating from Environmental Health. Founded by Martin Phazey, Fresh Rootz is an award-winning producer of a delicious blend of world foods brought back from experiences of travelling and catering around the world. Using only fresh locally sourced ingredients that don't just offer your '5 A Day' but aim for at least 7!
The company won the BBC Good Food Show's award for best Midland Street Food in 2013 and won the best snack of the British Street Food awards in 2014 in Leeds. They have appeared on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch and featured in the Telegraph Food magazine.
And that's not all - they are really keen to teach children about different tastes and flavours through cooking demonstrations at birthday parties or in an educational setting.
