Lovers of avocado are growing by the hour as millennials the world over become obsessed with the fruit for it's health-giving properties. So what better gift this Easter for your guacamole loving partner or friend than a sweeter version of the fun fruit.
Waitrose has produced an avocado-shaped Easter egg aimed at all those obsessed with smashing avocado on toast each morning, and the like. But be warned, they are selling fast and if you want one then get to the store as quick as you can - the £8 treat has already sold out online and in some stores across the UK. Waitrose are doing their best to restock for the product has been the most popular own-brand Easter egg they have ever stocked, in their 114-year history.
The egg is not avocado-flavoured, let me add, but looks like half of the fruit, with a Belgian dark chocolate shell, a white chocolate middle with natural green colouring to mimic the fruit's flesh, and a cocoa-dusted 'stone'.
Well, stone me - it's not the real thing!
