As if we haven't had enough chocolates over the festive period - now Tesco supermarkets are drastically reducing their leftover Christmas stock by as much as 80%. Yes, an 870g tin of Quality Street, normally retailing at £6.00, is down to £1.25. So if you've planned a New Year diet after overindulging last month, then either steer clear of Tesco entirely or forget it! Each tin of Quality Street chocolates contains about 4,200 calories - a major dent in anyone's diet.

However, you could stock up for the family for next year. Sadly, the supermarket giant has been forced to place a four tin limit on sweet-toothed and avaricious shoppers. Never mind, the chain store has also cut the prices of other tasty treats, including Lindt bears, down by 75p and tubs of Swizzels sweets, priced at only £1.00.

Get down to Tesco quickly or they'll be gone!
